another vote for a new engine.
A new top end will end up costing about the same in the end, and a new motor will have much less headache

After sleeping on it I’ve decided to say goodbye to her and part the bike out. We had some great memories and the bike was super solid up to its demise. I have some quality components hopefully some guys will be happy with. I’ll make a separate thread.

Sad moment, can we all bow our heads for a few moments of silence.....................Ok that's done....... how is your fairing stay and speedometer? In your pictures they looked like they may have already been replaced.

I'm sorry for your loss man. I've never seen an engine grenade like that. Impressive!!! What were you doing when it let go?

That really sucks , sorry to hear about your bike. These have to be about the most well designed and built motorcycle engines ever. Stuff happens.

I’ve always rode pretty hard, about 5 track days on it around 2019-2021. She was the best bike I’ve owned so far. When the motor failed I was just casually riding some farm roads. Nothing crazy. I guess at least one valve broke off in the piston and slapped around? How, not sure. Like I said above I did a valve adjustment about 3k miles back, had to change about 5 shims, everything after that measured out correctly.
