My gear shows on my gauge of eternal coolness.

I imagine you'd need to solder that one into the gauge cluster....?

I have a gear indicator on my FZ-09 and I rarely look at it.

I don’t have a gear indicator, and I never look at it either.

I had a similar one on my FZ1. Had no issue with it and it was an easy install.

If you ride enough, you'll just know what gear the bike is in.

Id say the main thing I like about my multigauge's gear indicator is knowing if I'm in 5th or 6th (Harder to tell a difference of the top gears when cruising)

I've got the same thing on my FZ1 (gauge of eternal coolness) - and have a factory indicator on the FJR. I find myself looking at them occasionally, although the one on the FZ1 is useless at a stoplight with the clutch in to make sure you are in 1st.

Yes it is and I only seem to look at it when I'm cruising at speed to ensure I'm in 6th rather than 5th.

I love the gear indicator on my Gauge of Eternal Coolness. I have not attempted to shift into 7th on many occasions since the install. Literally, that's the only thing it for which it get's used. Thank goodness it is the huge thing in the middle, getting harder to see all the other small print on that GOEC.
