Really great year for the R1. Love the body style. Only caveat is that it seems like you turn into a deer magnet on them.

Minnesota deer are equal opportunistic on what they run into.
My Triumph Daytona 675R got slaughtered by one as well.

Been to that store when I lived in Columbus. Better take a ride or get them ordered. Looks like they have limited sizes and colors. I cant find a matching set in my size............ahhhhshite!

they had the full slew of sizes and colors when I ordered but they sent out all the BF emails with them listed and the deal is on the main page of the site so it's not surprising that they're going fast.

Awesome find torch. That can would look good If you could find a lower mid pipe, and mount it in its normal position. I like the high mount look but that can is way to big for that.

Hmmmmm. That's not a bad plan. Wonder if I can find a mid pipe.

I'm pretty sure micron made that slip on in a low mount version also. Finding one would probably be tough because they are no longer around. Maybe another brand would fit? Or a local exhaust shop may be able to cut and weld the existing pipe to fit.
Or just eBay it and buy whatever you like.

I had a blue '01 R1 with a blue Micron just like yours, but a lower mount. It sounded great and looked good. Only issue was that silly black gasket that might as well be a rubber band on it. Slid off and down around the midpipe all the time.

Bike is stupidly clean. Well done.

Coming from a 9 year old Shoei RF1000, went to the Quantum X in frost black since it fit my head so well. Hadn't realized how worn the Shoei had gotten until I put on the Arai which measures the same but was snug; even after break in there will be a notable difference.
