Yeah, but how many times have you replaced the catalytic converters? ;)

Zero times. It has 130K on it at the moment, and looks pretty good for its age.

      • You're lucky. My brother's old '06 A6 started falling apart at 60k miles. Finished falling apart at 80k.

I always liked the look of the A4 cabrio (and the back seats) but always got scared off after seeing my brother's POS go hell.

A6 is a whole different thing. An A4 is just a better looking body and suspension on the same 2.0L turbo that VW puts in millions of cars. Not much to go wrong with it.

Why'd you choose Echo? My excuse not to go Stihl is I've been running Echo since the '80s.
Not a fan of Stihl's exclusive dealer/no mail order parts system. Plus Echo was cheaper.

            • Wasn't going to spend the money on it, was just going to rebuild the R6 master, but the rebuild kit was $60 and this was new for $250 shipped on FB marketplace from some racer guy.

                • Well, nothing really to show, other than the dyno sheet. Just had some "goodies" put on my WRX. Tuned out to 386hp/335tq. The way this car should've come. So much easier to drive. Deceptively fast and smoooooove........................................ .....

                  • well since this is my second FZ1 (FZ1- 01 and FZ1-09) I got new Mich road 5 GT tires front and back. I also got the updated rotor that was giving a few people problems with magnets coming off. Plus oil change

                            • I bet that makes it much more comfortable, I hated the bars on my FJR, the angle just wasn't right.

Yup. Fixes all the adjustability issues and I tapped the bars for the extra fz1 throttlemiester that I had. Makes the bars a little wider with less Wrist angle than the stock setup.
